BLOCK TERMINALS

Small one pair round external type moulded Block.
Consists of two double screwed terminal plates in a circular insulated block of 2.5 inch diameter.  Diagram EC 1329.

Four double screwed terminal plates on rectangular insulating base with metal cover.  Has two recessed which may be filled with compound for sealing incoming and outgoing lead covered cables.  Diagram EC 1389.

As the Block Terminal No. 2 but with 8 plates (4 pairs).  Diagram EC 1389.
 

Similar to Block Terminal No. 3 and used for terminating 10 pair cables (except paper covered).

A circular block which contains 15 pairs of terminals and was used externally.

Generally found at the top of a pole feeding dropwires to houses.

The cover is released by means of a central screw.  The screw had a tendency to seize.
