The terminals are enclosed.
When the sub-station telephone and the intermediate station telephone are in connection, their conversation cannot be overheard by the Exchange, or by any of the lines connected with them. When the sub-station telephone and the Exchange are in connection, the conversation cannot be overheard by the intermediate telephone station.
