How to convert the N1010 to work on the UK
plug and socket system
N1010B to diagram N18835 (this is a cheapened set and transmission quality
may be poor)
- Remove one of the wires from the capacitor (grey square component).
- Remove the link between baseplate terminals A and EB.
- Insert a 3.3k resistor between baseplate terminals A and EB.
- Connect red of the new line cord to baseplate terminal B.
- Connect white of the new line cord to baseplate terminal A.
- Connect Blue of the new line cord to the baseplate unmarked terminal.
- Insulate the green of the new line cord.
- If possible connect a rectifier element across the terminals of the
receiver in the handset.
N1010A or N1010B to diagram N19995
- Remove one of the wires from the capacitor (grey square component).
- Remove the link between baseplate terminals L1 and EB.
- Insert a 3.3k resistor between baseplate terminals L1 and EB.
- Connect red of the new line cord to baseplate terminal L2.
- Connect white of the new line cord to baseplate terminal L1.
- Connect Blue of the new line cord to baseplate terminal C.
- Insulate the green of the new line cord.
- Connect a rectifier element between terminals 2 and 3 inside the body of
the phone.
