“HUNNINGSCONE-DECKERT” TELEPHONES

This instrument consists of “Hunningscone-Deckert” microphone, induction coil, double pole “ring” receiver, three magnet generator, polarised call bell, lightning arrestor and automatic switch hook, mounted in a solid Walnut case. Will ring through 20,000 ohms resistance.

Cost in 1904 - £2.15.0

Some were sold to the G.S.W. Railway Co. and a teak cased model was produced for the India Office (information from an annotation found in a copy of the Peel Conner Illustrated Telephone Catalogue, 9th edition, belonging to the cabinet works).
