BLOCK TERMINALS

Block Terminals can be found on the outside of buildings and are used to connect the external network cable to the customer side cable in households and small businesses.  In areas, such as town centres, the Block Terminal would be of a larger size.

If the Block Terminal is at the end of the cable network it then called a Distribution Point (DP).

The smaller Block Terminals are generally not used today as most cables are fed directly into the house and terminated in a flush wall box.
