SIEMENS NTX 6 & 8 (SATURN 8 & SATURN 12)

PXML No.
APPROVAL No. NS/1143/3/E/600259

The NTX 6, made by Siemens was distributed in the UK by Norton Telecom.  This version was a 4+6 system which supported LD & MF exchange lines plus keysets as standard.  Call logging and POTS (analogue LD telephones) could be accommodated by installing a daughter board onto the motherboard (but only one board at any one time).

The NTX 8 superseded the NTX 6 early on and this was an 4+8 system with the same facilities. The MDF was integral within the wall mounted metal cabinet.  Programming was by means of the first extension port and an LED display which showed through a small window on the front of the case.

Keysets 1 (8 configurable buttons) and 2 (16 configurable buttons) could be used on either of these systems.  The first extension port also terminated on an Australian socket that was fixed behind the bottom edge of the chassis.

Sold from the mid 1980's until the early 1990's this system was superseded by the Siemens Hicom 110/120.

The password for programming is SH746.
