During the mid 1950s the GPO purchased a reasonable number of vehicles from the Seddon Company of Oldham. This particular vehicle was one of a batch of 35, 3 ton capacity, Mark 7 models bought for use by the Stores Department. Note the rather dangerous rear hinged doors, which could fly open in the case of an accident and throw the driver out of the cab.
