TELEPHONE, OBSERVER AD163

This is a Magneto, portable, telephone that has a generator and 1000ohm bells.  It comes complete with a transmitter and receiver headgear.

These were used by the UK Observer Corp in WW2.

The components are fitted within a wooden unit which sides out of the case, after releasing the catch shown to the right of the generator handle.

Two batteries are also required and these are retained by the strap on the slide out unit.
