ARM, TRANSMITTER No. 1
This was the standard arm adopted by the GPO.  Basic in it's simplicity the arm would have a transmitter attached to the end and could be moved up and down to allow the best speaking position for the transmitter.

A bracket was fixed to the back of the telephone and the arm was then fixed to the bracket.

These were used on a number of wooden wall telephones.
