STROWGER TABLE LOCAL BATTERY TELEPHONE
L.11559 A Bakelite table table telephone for use with Bellsets 21 or 31 on CBS and Magneto systems. Being a Local Battery (LB) telephone, this phone is powered from a local power source (3 volt battery). Similar to the GPO Telephone No. 196. The phone has extra contacts but no other internal components. A Bellset must be used. The L1159A Special, had a switch located in the dial aperture (see pictures below).
