MINE TELEPHONES AND SIGNALLING APPARATUS PORTABLE MAGNETO TELEPHONE
Polished wood case, housing components, which are mounted on a detachable side panel secured by captive screws, removal of which gives ready access to all parts. A hinged lid protects the ringer, terminals, generator handle, and hand micro-telephone, which is securely held by spring clips when out of use. The hand micro-telephone is of robust construction, and incorporates a speaking key. Combined spring and lock-nut terminals are provided, and an earth-spike, attached to the lid, facilitates earth connection when necessary. Calling is by buzzer, which also provides for morse or code signalling. The set is furnished with a test button for proving continuity. Metal parts are oxidised as a weatherproof protection.
