Australian Post Office
Telephone No. 19

Telephone, Common Battery, Wall, (G.E. Type) - Peel Conner

Again, a standard Australian Post Office C.B. wall phone, this time built by Peel Conner as their Model K8140 (the company was an offshoot of the British General Electric Co., who eventually liquidated Peel-Conner).  Earlier versions had a two-arm transmitter mount.  It dates from about 1904 to 1914.

These phones were not as common as the WE version, and the early two-arm version is quite uncommon.

Manufactured in Britain and later under license in Australia.
