BELL No. 17
This is a wooden cased Trembler bell with a Bell-Gong No. 5 (3 inch).

Double bell coil - resistance of each coil:-
Bell No. 17A - 50 Ohms - Found in the GPO Rate Book - 1928.
Bell No. 17B - 250 Ohms - Found in the GPO Rate Book - 1928.
Bell No. 17C - 500 Ohms - Found in the GPO Rate Book - 1946 and 1956 - Used on indoors on omnibus call-bell systems when a moderate ring is required and on Fire Systems instead of Bell No. 56B.  Uses Bell-gong No. 5.

The Bell No. 17A was superseded by Bell No. 13A.

Originally known as the Bell, Trembler, Small. 

Coil resistance was 100ohms.
