BLOCK TERMINALS

Small one pair round external type moulded Block.

Consists of two double screwed terminal plates in a circular insulated block of 2.5 inch diameter.

Four double screwed terminal plates on rectangular insulating base with slide on metal cover.  Has two recessed which may be filled with compound for sealing incoming and outgoing lead covered cables.

Used in place of Protector, Heat Coil and Fuse No. 201 on a H.C. & F. 0/10, 0/14 or 0/20 mounting frame.

Provides testing facilities only.

The Block Terminal No. 5 is to the left and a Protector, Heat Coil and Fuse No. 201 is on the right.

A circular block which contains 15 pairs of terminals and was used externally.

Generally found at the top of a pole feeding dropwires to houses.

The cover is released by means of a central screw.  This screw had a tendency to seize.

6 terminal screw block used on early 700 type telephones.

For internal use.

Oval in shape, and constructed in three sections.  There is a metal base (which is fixed to a wall), a middle section that sits on top the base and a lid with a central screw that draws the three together.

The central section has 12 terminals on both sides.  The incoming cable is terminated underneath and the outgoing cable terminating on the top side.
