This is a high grade and one of the most compact telephones on the market having been specially designed to meet the exacting requirements of rural service and in situations where telephones are subjected to rough usage, such as Pit Head Buildings, etc.

This type of instrument will be found to give the best possible service at the lowest maintenance expense. Where a large number of instruments are bridged across a line, trouble is sometimes experienced, owing to the receivers being left off hook.  The condenser in the circuit of No. 40062 and No. 40063 obviates this trouble.
