Many unique features are embodied which render them extremely simple and reliable in operation.

Being constructed of metal throughout they are very durable and not affected by adverse climatic conditions.

Particulars of the convenient services rendered possible, also some details regarding installation, are given below.

The Sets are furnished in two patterns for wall and table use, having a capacity for 12 or 24 lines.

OPERATION
The operation is extremely simple.

It is only necessary to press one of the key-buttons to secure the desired connection. The buttons are labelled according to the Telephones with which they are connected.

To make a call, press the button opposite the name of the station required as far as it will go then release the pressure of the finger on the button and remove the Receiver from the Switch-hook.

To answer a call, press the button of the home line and remove the Receiver from the Switch-hook.

Each operation leaves a button depressed, but this is automatically restored to its normal position when the apparatus is next used.

BATTERIES
Two separate batteries are required, one for the ringing circuit and one for the speaking circuit.

Both the ringing and speaking batteries should be located near the central part of the system in a dry accessible place: preferably in a Battery Box.

The number of Cells needed depends upon the distance between the telephone stations.

Where 500 feet is the maximum distance between the most widely-separated stations:-
4 Dry Cells for ringing or about 6 volts potential.
3 Dry Cells for speaking or about 5 volts potential.

Where 1,200 feet is the maximum distance between stations:-
5 Dry Cells for ringing or about 8 volts potential.
3 Dry Cells for speaking or about 5 volts potential.

Where 2,000 feet is the maximum distance between stations:-
7 Dry Cells for ringing or about 11 volts potential.
4 Dry Cells for speaking or about 6 volts potential.

The length of Cable between any Two Stations should not exceed 2,000 feet.

Although the installation of these inter-communication equipments is comparatively simple, we advise the employment of a good contractor to do the work.

Full instructions with diagrams, for installing in accordance with any of the plans outlined above, will be furnished on application, also estimates for complete equipments.
