Clock No. 34 (Double Dial)
& Clock No. 34A (Single Dial)

Clocks No. 34 (oak or mahogany) and Clocks No. 34A (oak) are designed for mounting on telephone switchboards, in local telephone exchanges.  Mounting is by means of a Bracket, Clock No. 4 (Drawing P/T 82).  This can be either a single or double faced clock with a dial of block divisions instead of numerals.

Bracket, Clock No. 4 is constructed of tubular wrought-iron and is designed to support a Clock No. 34 or 34A on the top of, but projecting from the front of, the switchboard.  The bracket is suitable for supporting the clock in two different positions.

This clock has black minute markers, black block chapters for the hours and red diamond shapes for the quarter hours.  The diamonds also indicated when a call count was to take place, which covered the previous quarter of an hour.

This clock was originally provided at manual exchanges with more than 10 positions ultimately.
