Clock No. 40 is of the Veeder type with start-stop-reset key and alarm contacts which make 12 seconds before each 3-minute
period and break at each 3-minute period, operated by 6-second impulses from Clock No. 36.  Indicates minutes and tenths of minutes.

Used for timing trunk calls.
