CLOCKS No. 60

The Clock No. 60 was operated by 30 second pulses from a Master Clock.  There are three discs within the clock showing days, hours and minutes.

The disks cover 7 days with the day disc breaking a contact late Friday afternoon and then operating the contact early Monday morning.

Diagram GMT34 advises that the clock was used on the alarm circuit of line finder exchanges.  Diagram AGS160A shows connectivity to the Linefinder Supervisory alarm circuit.

Diagram GMT66 advises that the clock is connected into the clock circuit at an UAX 7 type exchange and refers to diagram AGS160A.

With no supporting evidence it looks like this clock was used to deactivate the prompt alarm from Linefinders, in a UAX 7, when an exchange was unattended, probably to prevent call-outs and stop the alarm bell from ringing.

Introduced circa 1947 and probably obsolescent by 1953.
