Recorders, Time, Electrical

Known as Recorders, Time, Electrical, these clocks were used primarily in telegraph offices to time stamp message forms of the arrival and departure times.  Powered by a D.C. mains supply, they operated by means of the clock impulse circuit, which derived 30 second pulses from a Clock No. 36.

The Recorders, Time, Electrical No. 1A would be located at the receive teleprinter position and printed the time and circuit designation on a received message form.

The Recorders, Time, Electrical No. 2A would be located at the send teleprinter position and printed the time, circuit designation and the serial number on a sent message form.  The serial number is automatically advanced as the machine is operated.

Introduced circa 1935 these machines were made by Blick.
