These include the flex, cords made up for use with
switchboard plugs and switchboards. The title consists of the
words Cords, Switchboard, followed by a number with or without an
additional word. The number consists of three or more figures; the
hundreds and thousands digits represent the number of conductors in the
cord; the tens and units digits have no uniform significance. The
additional word is used only when there are differences in the cover
(colour, waterproofing, etc.) of the same cord. The length quoted
in the detail is the length between the main bindings of the cord.
All standard switchboard cords are shown on Drawings Nos. 10085, 10280,
11503, 11504 and 11568.
Colours available are shown in the table with a suffix
to the cord number (this is not part of the GPO description):-
* - Red and Black
# - Black, Blue, Green, Neutral, Red and Yellow
R - Red only
B - Black only
G - Green only
