COIN TELEPHONE No. 27A

Marketed by BT as the Payphone 200 Mark I.  There is also a Payphone 200 Mark II.

Made by Agifon, their model 200.

Payphone 200
A wall mounted version of the table-top Payphone 100, Payphone 200 is particularly suited to semi-supervised or sheltered sites within small to medium sized businesses in the service sector such as restaurants, hotels and shops.

It is available in two versions. Simply as an advanced payphone, or for a slightly higher connection charge, as a dual-mode payphone which can be switched to ordinary telephone use.

It can also be mounted on a trolley designed particularly for use in hospitals.

It offers the same facilities as Payphone 100 with the additional feature of a larger cashbox - capacity approximately £40.

Payphone 200 requires exchange meter pulsing equipment to charge the user correctly. It should normally be hard-wired on a DEL (though it can be plug ended for trolley mounting). It can be provided with simple extension working.
