These are Typewriters used in Telegraph offices. The keyboard layout is to Diagram TG 641. These are standard typewriters that are modified for use in telegraph offices. When used in training schools for touch typing practice a "Cover, Practising, for Typewriters, Telegraph No. 2" could be obtained, to cover the keyboard. Keyboard layout drawing -

The No. 8A was intended for use in offices where Teleprinters No. 3 are used and the No. 8B in offices were the Teleprinter No. 11 is used.
