This set was used for charging secondary cells and consisted of a
Dynamotor of the protected type having 2 bearings, with an iron wire
compensator and a panel to consist of black-enamelled slate of not
loss than 1in. in thickness. Iron brackets were provided for fixing
the panel 6in. from a wall. The panel was equipped with an
ammeter, starting switch and a double pole fused switch.

Dynamotor No. 22
This Dynamotor is a rotating protected machine that converts direct
current to single phase alternating current at 50 c/s and
approximately the same voltage as the input over the range 200-250
volts for supplying power to amplifiers operating loudspeakers,
telephones etc. The machine is continuous rated to provide an output
of 180 watts and is fitted with a frequency governor and a radio
interference suppression device. The machine is resilient mounted on
a wooden base designed to stand on the floor and has a removable
cover which forms a soundproof enclosure.
