HANDSET No's 11A and 11B
A black handset used on public payphones that has steel conductors in a heavy plastic cord (the handset itself is similar to Handset No. 3).

On the Handset No. 11B the earpiece and mouthpiece were held in place with rivets, to prevent removal.

The handset was fitted with a long weight which run up the handle and a small weight which fitted under the earpiece.  Due to the stiffness of the handset cord, the weights were required to keep the handset horizontal when placed on the switch hooks.

Handset No. 11A was introduced circa 1970 and the No. 11B in 1980.

Handset consists of:-
1 x Adapter No. 29A.
1 x Cord, Instrument No. 4/103AW.
1 x Earpiece No. 26B.
1 x Receiver, Inset No. 205.
1 x Rectifier-Element No. 205.
1 x Transmitter-Inset No. 16.
1 x Part 1/DWE/7 (small weight).
2 x Part 1/DWE/9 (long weight).
