HICOM 112E
The Hicom 112E provides ISDN compatibility with DDI direct dialling. The system offers a
range of facilities including calling party identity, hunt groups, conferencing, camp on,
transfers, fax recognition and call logging.
The system will allow up to eight analogue or digital lines with thirty two
extensions. A basic system comprises of 0 exchange lines, 4 analogue extensions and
4 digital. The system is easily expandable using either the two slots available or
slave phone adapters.

account codes, alpha tagging, broadcasting, least cost routing and call barring.
The system will allow up to eight analogue or digital lines can also grow to 16 lines and
120 extensions. A basic system comprises of 0 exchange lines, 4 analogue extensions
and 6 digital extensions. The system is easily expandable using either the two
slots available or slave phone adapters.

Dial directly to an extension without going through an operator.
CALLING/CALLED LINE IDENTIFICATION
Directory numbers can be sent to the display for both the calling and called party.
EXTERNAL OPTIONS
Calls can be transferred or diverted to an external telephone and conferencing to include
an additional external party, is possible.
ISDN USER INTERFACE WITH THE S0 TRUNKS
Up to 8 independently powered equipment items can be configured as an ISDN So user bus, eg
Group 4 fax, ISDN-PC cards or ISDN telephones, two of which can be operated at the same
time. Data is transmitted quickly at 64KBS.
FAX/ANALOGUE DDI (DDIA) MODULE
3 Call answering options.
Call routing to a fax extension on detection of fax tones.
Direct connection to the appropriate extension on detection of DTMF digits if no
tones/digits are detected, the call is routed to a deferred extension.
INTERFACES
ISDN BASIC ACCESS S0
The ISDN basic access operates in keeping with the Euro-ISDN protocol or VN3. Its
connected using a standard ISDN socket.
UPN USER INTERFACES (DIGITAL KEYSTATION S0)
The UPN user interface is a 2 channel digital two wire interface for connecting Optiset
base and Optiset memory system telephones. The 2 channel characteristic of the digital UPN
interface allows two Optiset terminals to be connected in series.
This expansion is provided for through a special adapter (slave) that is plugged into the
first telephone . Telephones installed in this way are completely independent and can be
accessed via individual station numbers .
