The Boyne telephone was made for Telecom Eircom by Northern Telecom in Wales. The phone was marketed in the UK by BT as the Vanguard (Telephone No. 4001AR). The telephone was dual signalling, had recall, last number redial and mute buttons.
In the picture below there is a transparent plate missing above the keypad.
Behind this plate would be the dial number label and an aid memoire.
