LOCKS No. 42 & 1/42



For use with coin collecting boxes on the Cover No. 50C.

Fitted to the armoured public 705 type Coin Collecting box and some of the later variants.  It is held in place with a brass locking ring.

Fitted to the engineers compartment cover and differing keys were allocated to each major exchange area.   There are 41 different key combinations and these are indentified by a two letter prefix i.e. 42BL where BL is the key code (see Specification S1087).

The barrel will revolve 360 degrees with the key inserted and is supplied with a lever fitted.

Lock No. 1/42 is fitted on the Front No. 14.
