Application
Used for lifting frames and covers and joint box channels with the aid of

Order Stores. It may also be used on the site of works where a lifting aid such
as a mobile crane or a vehicle equipped with gantry or vehicle jib is available
to assist loading and unloading.
General description
The appliance consists of a twin double-legged chain sling terminated in a main
ring of 3in. internal diameter at the top of the chains. The lower end of each
sling is connected via a safety type hook to a 12in. mild steel triangular
stirrup. The complete appliance has a safe working load of 10cwt. when the sling
angle is 90°. Subsidiary rings are placed within the chain slings, enabling the
sling to be shortened to handle smaller frames and covers.
