To be used by Box Building Parties for lifting and installing Unit Type frames
and covers utilizing the cover keyholes.
General description
The appliance consists of four 5/16in. diameter steel-wire ropes attached to a
common lifting ring of 2.5in. internal diameter. Each leg of the sling
terminates in a lifting key. The keys are made right-hand and left-hand, two
keys of each hand being employed on the sling. Each key incorporates a safety
device which ensures that there is no possibility of its being accidentally
twisted out of a keyhole during slinging operations.
