HAMMER-DRILL, ELECTRIC

Application
For drilling up to 4in. diameter holes in concrete and 1in. diameter holes in brickwork.

General description
This drill takes 100W and operates at a very high striking rate (approx. 6500 strokes per minute).

Special bits are used with this tool since ordinary tungsten-carbide tipped bits are too brittle to stand up to the hammering.

A hole is started by using the drilling action. After a short time a changeover knob is pressed which brings the hammering action into use.

Capital cost
£35.

Remarks
A field trial is in progress.
