MOLE PLOUGH, SMALL
Application
The small type mole plough is used for laying cables direct in ground which
is generally free from large stones and tree roots.
General description
This plough is skid mounted with either one of two tubes fitted behind the
main blade. The large tube is capable of laying two 0.9inch diameter cables
simultaneously and the small tube one 0.5inch diameter cable (max.). Depth
of laying can be varied up to a maximum of 18in.
A central mast is provided for keeping the machine
vertical. An 18inch diameter wheel is fitted horizontally at the rear of the
machine to allow it to be manhandled wheelbarrow fashion.
Although the tractive effort required is less for this
smaller machine the tractor or winch is still required for hauling purposes.
