The Astral porcelain telephones usually have the name of the pattern on the
rear. The model name may also be found in the centre of the dial on press
button types.
DORO UK Ltd is the UK subsidiary of the Swedish
telecommunications company, Doro AB.
Other subsidiaries in are located in Australia, Denmark, Finland,
France, Hong Kong, Norway, Poland and Switzerland.
Doro UK, formerly known as Audioline was acquired in 1998 by Doro AB and is
based in Redditch, Worcestershire.
Astral was bought by DORO in 1999.The three products brands used by DORO UK are:-
Audioline range: Value for money, good
quality, mass market products.
Doro range: Design led, high
quality, feature rich original products with striking appearance and Swedish
appeal.
Astral range: Decorative telephones for the discerning user.
