OHMMETER No. 18A, 18B and 18C


This was a portable cable fault location Ohmmeter primarily for use by Faultsman and Maintenance Jointers.

There were two versions: the 250v and the 500v.

Ranges:-
Insulation Resistance
0 to 1000 M ohms at 500V DC.
0 to 200 M ohms at 95V DC.
Loop Resistance
0 to 9999R.

Contact faults up to 9999ohms SWR from point of measurement.

Disconnexion faults as percentage of length of reference circuit.

Ohmmeter No. 18B includes:-
1 x Cord Test No. 1/60A
1 x Cord Test No. 1/60B.
1 x Cord Test No. 1/60C.
2 x Spike Testing No. l0A.
3 x Clip Test No. 38A.
2 x Adapter No. 25A.
1 x Tools Wallet No. 1 (Not included from Mk. 2 version onwards)
3 x Clips Test No. 41.

To be requisitioned separately as required:-
1 x Battery Dry No. 29.
1 x Tools Wallet No. 1.

The Ohmmeter No. 18C superseded the Ohmmeter No. 18B, which had itself been superseded the Ohmmeter No. 18A.
