OMNI S1S & S1 | |||||||
The OMNI range of telephone systems was made by ATEA of Belgium. The system was very configurable with access to most parts of the database. Programming was originally done by hand using a terminal and entries were in hex code. A programme called "Recent Change" was later introduced which was menu driven and updated the system, in hex, when a change was finalised. Originally the systems run on a Tape drive and then got updated to 5.25" floppy discs. The Omni range was distributed in the UK by Ferranti and sold by themselves and Norton Telecom. SEE NTX30 for more information on the UK sold systems. |
