REPLACING MEMORY BATTERIES


Many Panasonic telephone systems have a battery that holds up the memory in the event of a power failure.

Like most batteries they will fail after a period of time.

The KX-TEA and KK-TDA15 do have these batteries on board and so may some of the other systems.

Always remember to take a backup before removing the old battery.

The Battery is a CR2354 and is soldered to the motherboard with tags.  Getting batteries with tags nowadays can be difficult so some people solder a battery holder in place of the old battery and then fit a CR2032 battery into the holder.
