The KX-TD1232 is an analogue system, initially configured for 8 Lines and 16 Digital Stations with a maximum configuration of 12 lines and 32 stations. Both POT and System phones are supported.

Although it is capable of up to 12 CO lines and 64 stations for one cabinet it have a second cabinet attached making a total capacity of 128 stations.

Extension cabling is achieved by the use of 24 pair Amphenol connectors.

Panasonic refers to these as Advanced Hybrid Telephone Systems (Analogue).
