Introduced circa 1913.

In general a No. 2 lamp with a carbon filament will have no filament support, but a metal filament will have a filament support.

The moulded base is coloured, to identify the rated voltage.

EI, Telephones, General, Z5015 refers.

Length - 45mm.
Diameter - 7mm.

 

Lamps No. 3

A 24v line lamp, short in length, for 24v exchanges.

 

 
Lamps No. 4

A 17v pilot lamp for meter circuits on 24v exchanges.

 

 
Lamps No. 5

A 24v pilot lamp for 24v exchanges.

 

 
Lamps No. 7

A tubular lamp, rated at 21w for S.B.C holders.

Used for supervisory purposes in exchanges.

Voltages - 22v, 40v and 50v.

Colours - Blue, green, red and white.

 

 
Lamps No. 8

Lamp with bayonet cap, used on Lamps, Headgear No. 2.

Originally supplied in the voltages 22v, 40v and 55v.

Later supplied at 50v, 10watt.

Lamps No. 9

A Festoon style lamp, rated at 10w for Lamp, Fitting, Misc 3729, with Opal shade.

These were used at the Dorchester Hotel and installed above doors in the corridors.  The light was operated by a button on the room telephone set.

Voltage - 40v.

Colours - Blue, green and red.

 

 
Lamps No. 10

A Pear shaped lamp, rated at 40w, for use on Lamps, Alarm, Indicating No. 1.

Voltages - 25v and 50v.

 

 
Lamps No. 12

Festoon style lamp with Tungsten filament, rated at 10w.

Used on Lamp, Fittings No. 1.

50 volts, 10 watts, clear, red and green.
