Plug No. 235A Plug with integral lamp.  Used on 50 volt supplies to provide power to portable small tools, such as soldering irons.

Takes a Lamp No. 2 (voltage)

They were still in production - go to the Astralux web site

Old style is shown to the top.  If fitted with a lamp, the earlier plugs used to get very hot - so beware of fitting a lamp!

It is used in Automatic exchanges for routine testing.

This is a NATO plug.

The plug has a frusto-conical shaped tip, contact rings separated by insulators along the barrel, screw on cover and cable retention feature. For use with Jacks No. 84 and 95.

Introduced Circa 1957 and superseded the Plug No. 418.

Size - 54mm x 21mm.
