The Post Office provided switching networks (telephone and telegraph
systems) and supplied instruments to work on those networks.
They also managed, maintained and provided other services, many of which
were aligned to Government departments, private networks and ad-hoc
telephony services.
This section just advises of what these were but does not go into any
great detail and is definitely not a complete list.
