SIEMENS BROTHERS No. 93 | ||||||||||||||
Siemens Brothers Neophone No. 93A table type Bakelite telephone fitted with a dial but without a ringing device. A Bellset or Bell would have been mounted externally. This telephone was made for the Relay Automatic Telephone Company (R.A.T. or RAT Co.) and would have been used on their smaller PAX systems with DC ringing. The hook switch is different to the standard Neophone as it consists of a make and a changeover contact set, with only the changeover contact in use. The circuit diagram shows a transformer but no induction coil. The diagram also shows an external DC buzzer connected to the 'A' leg of the line and is disconnected when the handset is lifted.
