This instrument is for use as sub-stations in connection with the intercommunication telephones Q3484 to Q3487 and Q3494 to Q3497.  They are designed for installations where it is required that a central station can call, and be called by, a number of sub-stations, but these sub-stations arc not to call each other.

A reply and call instrument can also he used as a sub-station on an intercommunication system consisting of the instruments Q3480 to Q3482 and Q3490 to Q3492, in which case it can be called by any or all of the other telephones, but can only call one of these.

Metal case, finished smooth black, equipped with hand micro-telephone, call buzzer, ringing button, etc.

The desk instrument is also fitted with a flexible cord and a terminal rosette.
