SIEMENS BROTHERS No. Q3573

TELEPHONES. CENTRAL BATTERY
EXTENSION INSTRUMENTS

Q3573

This instrument is for use on C.B. systems in cases where two telephones - viz., a main and an extension - on one line are required to have intercommunication without calling the exchange.

Telephone Q3573 is a main instrument and is equipped with a hand generator, supervisory signal and a switch enabling the main to talk either to the exchange or the extension and to connect these together if required.  A separate magneto bell, e.g., Q2220, is required with this instrument.

It should be noted that as these telephones are arranged for C.B. speaking, it is necessary to provide a small battery in the line circuit between the main and extension instruments to supply current for speaking when these two stations wish to carry on a conversation together. This extra battery may consist of two or more dry cells according to the length and resistance of the extension line.

Metal case instrument, equipped with hand micro-telephone, 1000ohm bell, induction coil, hand generator, supervisory signal, special switch, etc. For use as a main station in conjunction with Q3574.
