Telephones of the portable type are designed to meet the requirements of military, forestry, railway and other services. They are strongly constructed to withstand the rough usage to which they are liable to be subjected, and operate efficiently and reliably under the most severe conditions.

This telephone has been specially designed for USC with the Company's automatic equipment. It is fitted with a hand generator as well as a dial switch, and a call can therefore be effected either between points on the line or through the exchange.

Woodwork of teak (or other wood if desired) and fitted with leather carrying strap.

Polarized bell, hand micro-telephone, condenser, automatic dial switch, generator, switch-key, induction coil and two dry cells.
