Switch, Indicator and Key N601
A Bakelite cased cabinet comprising of one key, two indicators, a buzzer and a bell.
Used on Extension Plan No. 8A. Two telephones were associated with this plan,
one with each exchange line. The switch unit had a single telephone
for connecting to each of the lines. The single telephone is unable to
listen in to a call in progress thus affording secrecy. One line had
the buzzer as the calling device and the other line the bell.

Switch, Indicator and Key N1612 10/10
For Multiphone phone working over ten private wires. The unit
contains a Potentiometer No. 8A, Buzzer No. 18A, two connect circuits and
two ring keys.
This was specially designed for press work and is effectively a 10 line
CBS Private Wire Switchboard.

For concentrating 10 Automatic or C.B. exchange lines or extensions or Private
Wires and 3 operator's circuits for distribution of press news. The
Buzzer is fitted externally. Case is the one used on the N1612 type.
Known as Multiphone working this apparatus is a 10 line Universal
Switchboard.

Termination of one private wire by the Exchange Telegraph Company Ltd and
similar organisations. Has a potentiometer fitted to control side
tone. A Switch Foot No. 1 can also be connected to unit to mute the
line. A hand generator or ringing lead is also connected and this is
for signalling to the other end of the circuit.
