SWITCH, TERMINAL TYPE


The switches here are generally described as a Switch, X-Terminal, Y-Position where X is the number of terminals on the switch and Y is the number of positions the switch can move.

At the bottom of this page is a table explaining many of the operating conditions the switches can provide for.

 

Switch, 4–Terminal, 2–Position

Night Bell switch.

Wooden base, 4.5" x 4.5".

 

 
Switch, 4–Terminal, 3–Position

Used as a battery switch on Admiralty inter-port circuits.

Wooden base, 4" diameter.

Night Bell switch for small exchanges, with OFF, DAY, NIGHT 1 and NIGHT 2 positions.

A slide action switch, used on the Extension Plan No. 3, made of Bakelite X20/386.

Labelled "CUT OFF" and "NORMAL".
