TELEPHONE No. 25


A wooden cased Magneto wall telephone complete with bell and generator.

Used on Magneto and CBS exchanges.

Originally called the "Post Office Telephone with Magneto Bell and Generator" it was later renamed in 1911 as the Telephone No. 25.

Consists of a Telephone No. 21, Bell No. 11A and Generator No. 2 or 4 fitted to a bespoke backboard/cabinet.

Two cells "Leclanche, Agglomerate, 2 block" are fitted in the bottom of the cabinet.

Superseded the "Instruments, Subscribers, Wall, N.T. No. 17" in 1914.

1 x Telephone, PO, for Granular Transmitter.
1 x Bell, Magneto, Type 2004 (1000ohms).
1 x Generator No. 2.
1 x Generator, Bracket, 3 Terminal.
1 x Bell, Receiver A, C or D.
1 x Wall Frame 28" x 10".
1 x Deckert Transmitter or Transmitter, Inset, Ebonite complete.

1 x Telephone No. 21, incomplete.
1 x Bell No. 11A.
1 x Generator No. 2A or 4C.
1 x Receiver, Bell No. 1A or 2B.
1 x Transmitter No. 3.
