TELEPHONE No. 49 and 49A

Formally called the "Telephones, Wall, with Magneto Bell and Generator (Glasgow and Brighton), Modified".  From 1912 it was called the Telephone No. 49.

The telephone requires two Cells, 2 Block Agglomerate, Complete, which are housed in the lower part of the telephones body.

Probably ex NTC as the same switch hook types were used on most NTC telephones.

Telephone included (1912 and 1915):-
1 x Bell, Magneto 400ohms - Telephone No. 49.
1 x Bell, Magneto 1000ohms - Telephone No. 49A.
1 x Coil, Induction No.7.
1 x Cradle and Switch.
1 x Generator No. 12.
1 x Plug No. 406 or 501.
1 x Telephone No. 28 or 28A (Handset).

The Telephone No. 49A was specially stocked for Coastguard circuits requiring powerful generators.

Probably ex NTC as the same switch hooks were used on most NTC telephones.
