TELEPHONE No. 53


Call point wall telephone used by the Port of London Ambulance Service.

This telephone had no internal ringer or induction coil.

The phone was used with Bellset No. 10.

Found in the 1915 GPO Rate Book.

Telephone includes:-
1 x Clip, Protector No. 1.
1 x Clip, Protector No. 2.
1 x Cord, Flexible No. 116.
1 x Cord, Flexible No. 222.
1 x Glass No. 15.
1 x Hook, Receiver J.
1 x Label, Instruction, for Telephone, No. 53.
1 x Mouthpiece No. 4.
1 x Protector G.
1 x Receiver, Bell No. 1A.
1 x Switch, Receiver, Peel Conner Co.'s No. 101.
1 x Transmitter No. 1.

It is also noted that some of these telephones used the Receiver, Bell No. 3 which was Peel Conner Co.'s No. 103.

It could therefore be assumed that the telephone was produced by the Peel Conner Company and used an electro-magnetic receiver.
