![]() The telephone requires a Bellset, No. 18. This telephone can also be used on an extension plan system with a Telephone No. 113. In this case no Bellset is required. This telephone differs from other Candlesticks as the switch hook contact set consists of two springs in contact when on hook and when off hook one of the two springs makes contact with the switch hook arm and two other springs. This momentarily places an earth on the "B" leg of the line. Early table telephones were connected to the internal wiring with a Strip, Flexible Cord Connection. Click here for more information.
